CCCS EDUCATION AND MEDIATION DEPARTMENT

The CCCS Education and Mediation Department is designed to act as a direct focal point for visitors, in line with the latest museum education trends. Today's approach demands that we set aside traditional hierarchies. Contemporary art exhibitions have to give visitors the chance to play an active role rather than merely offering passive, "one-way" enjoyment of the work.

Works of art have to acquire their profile, their "visibility", through dialogue, communication and debate.
The activities that the CCCS's mediators offer give visitors an opportunity to become leading players in our exhibitions, in an effort to help them understand, discuss and even question the art and culture of our times.
